Peerzada Dr. Haroon-ur-Rashid Kashmiri (Damat Barakatohum Aaliya)

A man of manifold and staggering achievements, Peerzada Dr. Haroon-ur-Rasheed Kashmiri is the founding leader of Noor-e-Darwesh, an organization in many countries around the globe, working for the promotion of peace and harmony between communities and the revival of spiritual endeavour based on the true teachings of Islam. Peerzada Dr. Haroon is an intellectual leader for all seasons. He is a living model of profound classical knowledge, intellectual enlightenment, practical wisdom, pure spirituality, love, harmony and humanism. He is well known for his ardent endeavour to strengthen bonds among people, by bringing them together through tolerance, dialogue, integration and education. He successfully bridges the past with his image of the future and finds convincing solutions for contemporary problems. He has been teaching Islamic Sufism and many other rational and traditional sciences to many people in the east and the west.

Peerzada Dr Haroon was born in the historical city of Lahore, Pakistan. He founded Noor-e-Darwesh Organization in 2009 and established its’ headquarter in London. He belongs to Silsila Owaisia Muhammadia S.A.W and has seven caliphs:

  1.   Zahid Butt (UK, London).
  2.   Arslan Ziad (UK, London).
  3.   Raza Mohi-ud-Deen (Pakistan, Lahore).
  4.   Shahzad Hussain Khan (UK, London).
  5.   Waqas Ali (UK, London).
  6.   Faizan Ziad (UAE).
  7.   Rizwan Mazhar (Pakistan, Lahore).

He has written the following books:

  1.  Hazrat Mian Meer R.A
  2.  Darwesh Sadiq
  3.  Noor-e-Darwesh
  4.  Faizan-e-Darwesh
  5.  Faqar-e-Darwesh
  6.  Malfuzaat-e-Darwesh (English Part)
  7.  Malfuzaat-e-Darwesh (Urdu Part)

Peerzada Dr Haroon describes the spiritual journey in his own words: “In 1991, I thought to myself one day on a regular day sitting in my clinic,” Haroon you have achieved a M.B.B.S qualification in order to establish yourself in the world, seventeen to eighteen years of studies in order to become a Medical Doctor, but what have you done or learnt purely for the sake of Allah (subhanahuwa-ta'ala) ? ” This thought became etched to my mind, which led to me to subsequently enroll on courses for the studies of Tafseer-ul-Quran and study of Islam from The International Islamic University, Islamabad. I kept learning everything in depth.

I left my well-established clinic and profession behind only for Islam. All the taunting, mockery, and negative remarks delivered by people felt like roses in the love of Aaqa Kareem (SallallahuAlaihiwaAalihiwaSallam). On every pain and wound I thanked Allah (subhanahuwa-ta'ala), and He showered His countless blessings and it continues. Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen”.
